Mini Medical School

This unique and selective program is open to students interested in pursuing careers in medicine. Through rigorous academic immersion, you will gain firsthand experience with practical hands-on intervention, research, public health, and service learning.

What's Up Doc? Exploring the Pre-Med Experience

Meet with practicing physicians, medical students, and other experts for and immersive, hands-on experience designed to help you learn what it takes to prepare for medical school, and consider if medicine is the right path for you.

Explorations in Pathology (Full Day)

Explore the human body from the inside out! Work side-by-side with residents and attending physicians and get experience with laboratory processes, organ dissection, independent coursework, and mentorship from a department physician.

Careers in Nursing

Learn what it takes to be a nurse. With engaging discussions and interactive exercises, you will learn about the profession’s foundations and specialties, the history and future of nursing, and potential careers that might interest you.

Dreaming New Realities: Interactive Storytelling with Extended Reality (XR)

Learn how to bring ideas to life with augmented and virtual reality—from an early design to a finished prototype.

Intro to Engineering

Get an overview of how the disciplines of math, science, and technology come together in the field of engineering, and tackle challenging design projects.

Biomedical Technology: Engineer, Doctor, or Both?

Discover the underlying physiology of crucial human organ systems and the process of recording and interpreting biological signals into meaningful information.

Careers in Oral Health

What is it like to be a dentist or a dental specialist such as an orthodontist, pediatric dentist, prosthodontist, periodontist, or oral surgeon? This course will explore hands-on dental procedures, examine the latest equipment, and take a close look at the skills and educational requirements necessary to become an oral health professional.

Healthy Planet, Healthy Lives: Uncovering the Connection between Environment and Health

Explore the dynamic relationship between our environment and health in this engaging one-week workshop. From the basics of epidemiology and toxicology to pressing issues like water quality, air pollution, and climate change, we’ll delve into the critical factors shaping our well-being and explore innovative ways to protect our planet and ourselves.

Students can take a full-day intensive course or combine two half-day courses. If you take two courses, you can go all-in on Social Sciences and Humanities, or choose from our other offerings in Health Science, Engineering and Natural Sciences, or Business.
